Early Indonesian sandalwood (commonly known as Indian yellow sandalwood) scraps.
These logs were harvested after a long maturation period, resulting in an exceptionally rich aroma!
However, the wood itself is rotten and unusable due to the passage of time.
Currently, newly imported sandalwood logs are all round and full, harvested too early and
haven't undergone the necessary aging, cracking, and purification processes.
They are beautiful carving materials, but the sandalwood will eventually crack and
begin the aging process, resulting in a more acidic aroma.
In my experience, using an electric incense burner at the 9 o'clock position, the
aroma is familiar with a sweet scent, with
minimal acidity .
The middle notes transition to frankincense,
and the base becomes sweet with a slight coolness.
This shop sells it for NT$50 per 10g, and
